I could not say more great things about this resort! Universal obviously prioritizes having a friendly and helpful staff. Every single employee we interacted with went above and beyond. The text option was great when requesting extra blankets, to skip housekeeping or to ask general questions. We had 2 people with us with food allergies and the Beach Break Cafe staff were AMAZING! Every time they brought out a chef to discuss the different allergies and would confirm before handing the food over. The food was surprisingly good for what i was expecting. We literally looked forward to eating there! We can’t wait to come back!

Really can’t recommend this hotel enough. The location is perfect right on I drive so you can use the local restaurants and shops. The hotel transport is great 5 mins to universal 10 to volcano bay and 15 to epic and the run often all day! The one bed suite is great for a family with plenty off space( only rubbish point not much storage we took a wardrobe shelf hanger from ikea which fixed this) the unlimited drinks cup for the hotel was a bargain at 32 dollars for the full fortnight holiday pop juice and even coffee. Amazing holiday base for the money

Not what I expected. Great little room for our trip, a quick birthday vacation. The rooms are great with sound proofing, I only heard our neighboring room main door close, and didn’t hear mumbling laughing or talking. The pool is amazing! Faces the lake and has a great view with adjoining bar. The bar has fantastic drinks but are pricey (as expected). You must make time to visit the pool for a night swim, or sit at the wood desk chairs to people watch or play a game from the gift shop. It has quite the calming view. The cafeteria’s food is delicious, and the price was much lower than the norm these days. Cheaper than going most places. Arcade room was fun and all games were working. Staff at front desk was friendly. Starbucks in lobby, can’t go wrong, and my only complaint with it is that you cannot use your rewards. Would absolutely visit again.

Stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 2 weeks in early August with my family. This was our first stay in a universal hotel but not our first stay in Florida. We chose the surfside as it's smaller than dockside and seemed more family friendly. The hotel is phenomenal! All the staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself was clean and spacious, there are 1 set of drawers in the main room and a wardrobe in the bedroom for storage also lots of hooks which were handy. They also have spaces under the beds for your suit cases to go, which made the room much tidier and easier to manage. There was some noise from heard by the neighbours however this is always expected but it didn't bother us at all. The housekeeping was fantastic but on occasions forgot to stock up the plastic plates and bowls. Not a big deal really The pool is brilliant after or before a hard day at the parks. It has lifeguards and lots of seating, and pool towels, also a lovely poolside place to eat and get some drinks. The bus service to the parks is brilliant. They are very frequent, they were very full in August when we went but again it was expected and the bus drivers were so accommodating and polite. The last bus le

Really enjoyed my time at this resort. The rooms were big enough for me and provided enough towels and extras for the duration of my stay. The buses to universal were very convenient and at perfect times for early park entry. The Starbucks onsite had great service and usually opened a little earlier to accommodate those leaving early to the parks (it is slightly more expensive than your standard Starbucks). I didn’t use the resort pool however I did walk around the area to look around and it had a great atmosphere! I would absolutely return to the surfside again as check in to check out I had a fantastic stay!
